Requests the Department of Education to rename Noelani Elementary School to President Barack Obama Noelani Elementary School in honor of former President Barack Obama.

Notes that President Obama was born in Honolulu in 1961 and attended kindergarten at Noelani Elementary School in Manoa before entering Punahou School.

Highlights Obama's accomplishments including serving as the 44th President of the United States (first African American president), his work as a community organizer and Illinois state senator, and his signature legislative achievements on economic recovery, healthcare, and financial reform.

References Noelani Elementary School's growth since opening in 1962 from one building to over six buildings serving 389 students with a diverse student population.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Board of Education Chair, Superintendent of Education, Mayor of Honolulu, and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Obama Hawaiian Africana Museum.
