Requests the Department of Agriculture update its mission statement to include language promoting local food production for local consumption and expanding local and global agricultural trade.

Proposes new mission statement language emphasizing agriculture promotion, safe food supply, efficient management, innovation, resource access, infrastructure development, and balanced commitment to agribusiness, environmental, and cultural stewardship.

Directs the Department of Agriculture to feature the updated mission statement more prominently on its website and uniformly throughout its publications.

Notes that local agriculture generates approximately $500 million in annual farm-gate revenues and approximately 42,000 jobs statewide when related industries are included, totaling nearly $3 billion in annual economic value.

Requires transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture.
