Requests the Department of Education develop a strategic plan to meet locally sourced food procurement goals of 30% by 2030 under Act 175 and 50% by 2050 under Act 176

Plan must examine existing school meal processes, procurement contracts, current relationships with local farmers and distributors, and challenges in fulfilling local food contracts

Plan must explain how the Department will scale local food procurement within both centralized and decentralized kitchen models, including contingency plans for ingredient shortages

Plan must address production costs for a centralized kitchen model on Oahu and information technology requirements for improved tracking and data collection

Urges the Department to fill the vacant Farm to School Coordinator position and directs transmission of this resolution to the Board of Agriculture, Board of Education, and Superintendent of Education
