Urges the Department of Transportation to establish a working group to evaluate options for providing additional air service to remote and underserved communities statewide.

Working group directed to evaluate an airline subsidy to offset passenger ticket costs and efforts to encourage other airlines to serve rural airports including Molokai Airport.

Working group membership includes the Federal Aviation Administration Honolulu Airports District Office Manager, Deputy Director for Transportation–Airports, Public Utilities Commission Chairperson, representatives from each county transportation department, and other relevant experts.

Working group required to submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2024 Regular Session convening.

Working group scheduled to dissolve on June 30, 2024.
