Request the Department of Education to assign school resource officers or guards registered under Chapter 463, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to every public elementary school and state prekindergarten program during school hours.

Direct the Department of Education to consider school campus size, student enrollment, and other safety-relevant factors when determining the number of officers or guards needed at each school.

Request the Department of Education to seek federal grants to cover the costs of hiring school resource officers and registered guards.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Education and Superintendent of Education.
