Request that the Department of Land and Natural Resources transfer the Lahaina Public Library makai lawn to the County of Maui via quitclaim deed or other appropriate means

Authorize the County of Maui to negotiate a lease of the transferred property to the Lahaina Restoration Foundation for future use

Address the current underutilization of the state-owned land and inability of the public to obtain permits for events on the property

Direct certified copies of the resolution to be sent to the Board of Land and Natural Resources Chairperson, Maui County Mayor, Maui County Council Chairperson, and Lahaina Restoration Foundation President
