Request the City and County of Honolulu to relocate the bus turnaround for Route C CountryExpress and Route 93 Waianae Coast Express from Makau Street to Keaau Beach Park or surrounding area.

Makau Street is a narrow, unmarked two-way residential street with curbside parking that creates safety hazards for pedestrians accessing nearby Makaha Beach Park and poses risks from speeding buses.

Makau Street has experienced approximately thirteen water main breaks, with breaks occurring near the corner where heavy Route C double-buses exert pressure, though the Honolulu Board of Water Supply states traffic loading should not adversely impact the water mains.

Keaau Beach Park's parking lot is identified as a more appropriate turnaround location using public lands instead of a narrow residential access road, though the lot currently requires expansion to accommodate the buses.

Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Director of Transportation, Mayor, and relevant city and transit officials.
