Urges the Board of Education and Department of Education to integrate the documentary film "Waterman" into middle and intermediate school curriculum to provide students with a strong role model.

Requests that the Department of Education coordinate with necessary agencies and stakeholders to provide transportation for middle and intermediate school students to watch the film in movie theaters.

Highlights Duke Kahanamoku, a five-time Olympic swimming medalist and surfing pioneer, as a contemporary Hawaiian legend and role model embodying aloha and cultural values.

Notes that producers David Ulich and Dr. Steven Ungerleider of Sidewinder Films have agreed to provide free access to "Waterman" for broad integration into schools.

Directs that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Superintendent of Education and the Chairperson of the Board of Education.
