Transfer the Ewa Beach Public and School Library from the Hawaii State Public Library System to James Campbell High School administration.

Library currently operates limited hours (closed weekends; weekday hours between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. with breaks) that do not accommodate nearby school students at James Campbell High School, Pohakea Elementary School, and Ilima Intermediate School.

Library has operated since August 28, 1971 on the James Campbell High School campus serving dual purpose as both school and community library.

Transfer would establish the library as part of James Campbell High School to improve accessibility for student users.

Direct certified copies of the resolution to the Superintendent of Education, Board of Education Chairperson, State Librarian, and James Campbell High School Principal.
