Chief Information Officer is requested to review whether all state departments, agencies, and offices have up-to-date technology to reduce cyber threats and protect against cyberattacks

All state departments, agencies, and offices are requested to cooperate with the Chief Information Officer to determine what technology upgrades are needed to prevent disruptive hacks, ransomware attacks, data breaches, and digital scams

Chief Information Officer must submit a report of findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation and prioritized technology upgrade projects, to the Legislature prior to the 2024 Regular Session

Resolution cites recent cyberattacks on federal agencies, Costa Rica, Vanuatu, and Ukraine as evidence of growing cyber threats to government entities

Certified copies of the resolution must be transmitted to the Governor and Chief Information Officer
