HB1099 Summary

• Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 329-101(d) to require dispensers to report controlled substance prescriptions and drug samples to the Electronic Prescription Accountability System at least once every day.

• Requires dispensers to submit a report of "zero" not less than once every seven days if no controlled substances are filled or drug samples are dispensed.

• Maintains existing requirement that dispensers keep records of filled prescriptions for five years and make them available for inspection and copying by the designated state agency.

• Takes effect upon approval.
