Amends Section 486-120.5 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to clarify labeling requirements for macadamia nuts, replacing references to "Hawaii" with "the State"

Requires labels on consumer packages containing mixed-origin macadamia nuts to list the percentage by weight of State-grown nuts and include a listing of countries of origin of non-State nuts on the principal display panel

Expands prohibited labeling practices to include branding or imagery that misrepresents origin as State-grown when less than the stated percentage or none of the macadamia nuts were actually grown in the State

Requires companies to provide documented proof to the administrator that macadamia nuts claimed to be State-grown actually originated in the State

Takes effect June 30, 3000
