Appropriates funds from general revenues for fiscal year 2023-2024 to provide back payments of $2,500 per Medicaid-eligible client to four types of care homes.

Covers Community care foster family homes, Adult residential care homes type I, Expanded adult residential care homes, and Developmental disabilities domiciliary homes for services provided between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2023.

Back payments for clients housed less than one year shall be prorated, and care home operators must provide historical records to the Department of Human Services to verify eligibility.

Payments may be distributed as monthly installments over twelve months or in a single lump sum, at the request of the care home operator.

Takes effect on July 1, 2023.
