HI HB1530

Requires employers of firefighters to maintain a minimum of four on-duty firefighters in each company, effective July 1, 2028.

Applies notwithstanding any collective bargaining agreement or executive policy in effect on or after July 1, 2025.

Defines "company" as a group of firefighters under direct supervision of an officer, trained and equipped, typically organized as engine, ladder, rescue, squad, or multi-functional companies, operating with one piece of fire apparatus.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
