Requires full-time state firefighters to receive cancer screening examinations by a physician beginning no less than three years after employment and every three years thereafter.

Cancer screening must include minimum coverage for colon, lung, bladder, oral, thyroid, skin, blood, breast, cervical, testicular, rectal, and prostate cancers.

Applies to firefighters enrolled in the state health benefits program as occupational coverage; public employers not participating in state program must provide equivalent coverage and are eligible for state reimbursement not to exceed $1,250 per three-year period per firefighter.

No co-payments, deductibles, coinsurance, or out-of-pocket expenses allowed for cancer screening examinations.

Appropriates unspecified amount from general revenues to the department of labor and industrial relations for fiscal year 2024-2025; effective July 1, 2024.
