Amends Section 464-8, Hawaii Revised Statutes to restructure the eligibility requirements for professional engineer licensure into six pathways with specific education and experience combinations.

Clarifies that for municipal employees, "lawful experience in engineering work" includes code compliance review of plans for construction applicable to the specific engineering field.

Reorganizes existing requirements into subparagraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) under each of the six pathways, maintaining the substance of current qualifications while improving structural clarity.

All six pathways continue to require passage of a written examination prescribed by the board to test knowledge, skill, and competency in engineering.

Takes effect July 1, 3000.
