• Establishes strict liability for crimes against elders (age 60+) by removing the requirement that perpetrators knew or reasonably should have known the victim's age

• Applies strict liability standard to assault in the first degree (substantial bodily injury to elder), assault in the second degree (bodily injury to elder), unauthorized entry in a dwelling in the first degree, theft in the first and second degree, and forgery in the first and second degree involving elders

• Removes knowledge-of-age requirements from statutes covering elder victims while maintaining intent requirements for the underlying criminal acts
