Allow employees to obtain one cervical spine MRI within 60 days of injury without a treatment plan if the attending physician determines the employee has radicular symptoms caused by cervical spine injury or objective traumatic/neurologic symptoms shown by x-ray or CT scan.

Allow employees to obtain one lumbar spine MRI within 60 days of injury without a treatment plan if the attending physician determines the employee has radicular symptoms caused by lumbar spine injury or objective traumatic/neurologic symptoms shown by x-ray or CT scan.

Permit one consultation with an orthopedic or neurologic specialist within 60 days of injury without a treatment plan if the attending physician reasonably determines specialist evaluation is needed.

Require the specialist to provide written notice to the employer within seven days of consultation and submit a written report within fourteen days of the consultation.
