Department of Labor and Industrial Relations shall conduct an actuarial study on a potential leave grant pilot program for small businesses with up to 100 employees to offer paid family leave and sick leave to their employees.

Study must identify the potential costs of grants to be paid to small businesses and the administrative costs of operating the pilot program.

Department shall submit a report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 regular session convenes.

Appropriates unspecified amount from general revenues for fiscal year 2024-2025 to the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to conduct the actuarial study.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
