Requires state government entities to impose and collect a search and rescue fee from hikers who require rescue after entering closed hiking trails or closed areas marked with closure notices.

Applies the fee requirement to persons who leave a hiking trail to enter closed state, county, or private property, or who enter a closed hiking trail, both marked with closure signs.

Mandates that state government entities submit copies of search and rescue reports and documentation to the Department of the Attorney General, including names, identifying information, addresses, and facts surrounding each rescue.

Deposits collected search and rescue fees into the state general fund.

Takes effect July 1, 2042.
