Establishes an Artificial Intelligence Working Group within the Office of Enterprise Technology Services to develop acceptable use policies and guidelines for regulation, development, deployment, and use of artificial intelligence technologies in Hawaii.

Working group membership includes the Chief Information Officer (chair), Chief Data Officer, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Director of Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, Chief Energy Officer, University of Hawaii President, three public/private sector members appointed by the Senate President, and three appointed by the House Speaker, with invitations to healthcare and travel industry representatives.

Working group shall develop AI policies, coordinate with federal AI regulation efforts, ensure safe and trustworthy AI innovation, assess AI-related risks, establish data privacy and security standards, and collaborate with public and private agencies and academic institutions.

Working group must submit an interim report to the legislature by December 31, 2024, and a final report by December 1, 2025; group ceases to exist on June 30, 2026.

Appropriates unspecified funds from general revenues for fiscal year 2024-2025 to support the working group's activities; effective date set for July 1, 3000.
