Replaces the Director of Law Enforcement with the Director of Corrections and Rehabilitation as a member of the Hawaii Interagency Council for Transit-Oriented Development.

The Director of Corrections and Rehabilitation is better suited to serve on the council because they have administrative responsibilities for correctional and rehabilitation facilities statewide, which are relevant to state facilities in transit-oriented development areas.

The council membership change follows the 2022 reorganization of the Department of Public Safety (Act 278, Session Laws of Hawaii 2022), which had previously amended the council to include the Director of Law Enforcement.

The bill amends Section 226-64 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, specifically subsection (a), which lists the council's composition of 22 members including state directors, county mayors, and community representatives.

The Act takes effect upon approval.
