Director of Health authorized to issue public health standing orders allowing patients age 18 and older to receive evidence-based healthcare screenings rated A or B by the United States Preventive Services Task Force without patient-specific orders from a licensed healthcare provider.

Director of Health must annually review United States Preventive Services Task Force recommendations and amend public health standing orders as necessary.

Public health standing orders remain in effect until repealed by the Director of Health and must be posted on the Department of Health website in an easily located manner.

Entities providing screening services must request patient's primary care provider information and make good faith efforts to transmit screening results to the identified healthcare provider; results must be provided to patients in writing with plain language, clear status (normal, abnormal, or undetermined), and follow-up instructions.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
