Repeals the University of Hawaii's biennial reporting requirement to identify cost impacts to the State from providing workers' compensation coverage for University of Hawaii students.

Removes the requirement for UH to submit reports to the governor and legislature prior to each regular session in the first year of each biennium.

Retains the board of regents' authority to adopt rules for administering workers' compensation procedures and safety guidelines for student placements.

Maintains the requirement that the department and University of Hawaii inspect facilities annually before placing students with those facilities.

Takes effect upon approval.
