Amends Section 486-105, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to exempt commercial measuring devices used in taxicabs from inspection and testing requirements by the Department of Agriculture's measurement standards branch.

Clarifies that the department must inspect and test all measurement standards and measuring devices kept, offered, sold, or in use in the State, except for those used in taxicabs.

Maintains existing provisions allowing the department to test representative samples of mass-produced devices and single-service devices designed for one-time use rather than requiring individual device testing.

Takes effect upon approval.
