Appropriates funds for the University of Hawaii to develop a database and data portal on social vulnerability to climate change in Hawaii based on the May 2022 report "Social Vulnerability to Climate Change in Hawai'i – Data, Indicators, and 'Gap' Assessment"

Requires coordination with relevant stakeholders, including those involved in the existing hazard mitigation framework, during database development

Appropriates additional funds for fiscal year 2024-2025 for maintenance and updating of the data portal

Addresses identified data gaps related to social vulnerability tools and climate change exposures to help communities and government agencies better understand climate change impacts on vulnerable populations

Bill takes effect June 30, 3000 (note: effective date appears to contain a typographical error)
