Requires all businesses engaged in retail sales of goods to display the general excise tax amount on any price tag or display indicating the price of goods.

Classifies failure to include the general excise tax amount in price displays as a deceptive trade practice under Hawaii Revised Statutes section 481A-3(a).

Violations constitute unfair or deceptive acts or practices under section 480-2, subjecting violators to enforcement action.

Effective date is January 1, 2024.
