Requires all health insurance policies and contracts issued or renewed in Hawaii on or after January 1, 2024, to provide coverage for hearing aids, including conventional and bone conduction types.

Establishes minimum coverage of $1,500 per hearing aid for each hearing-impaired ear every 36 months.

Allows policyholders to choose hearing aids priced higher than the benefit amount without financial or contractual penalties to the hearing aid provider.

Permits coverage to be subject to standard deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and annual or maximum payment limits consistent with other similar coverage.

Requires insurers and mutual benefit societies to inform policyholders about hearing aid coverage in written materials and on their websites; does not apply to limited benefit health insurance plans.
