Declares that significantly increased efforts must be made to house people in Hawai'i, with emphasis on addressing homelessness on Maui following the August 8, 2023 Lahaina wildfires.

Requests the Governor and State Coordinator on Homelessness and Housing Solutions secure a location on Maui and construct at least 450 homes for displaced wildfire victims.

Requests establishment of at least two Kauhale (Hawaiian communal housing) locations on Maui to serve both displaced wildfire victims and pre-existing homeless population, with mental health services, crisis stabilization, and wraparound social services.

Identifies approximately 800 homeless individuals on Maui that need housing and calls for state action guided by compassion and aloha principles.

Directs transmission of copies to the Governor, State Coordinator on Homelessness, state legislators, state department directors, and Maui County officials including the Mayor and Council members.
