Requests the Legislative Reference Bureau to conduct a study examining the Department of Education's implementation of sexual health education policies and standards.

Study must include a survey to determine what sexual health curricula are currently taught in schools, reasons why 80% of grades 6-8 and 52% of grades 9-12 are not receiving CDC-recommended sexual health education topics, and available resources for schools and teachers.

Department of Education must provide copies of all current sexual health education policies and standards to the Legislative Reference Bureau by June 1, 2024.

Study must assess whether provided curricula comply with Department of Education policies and section 321-11.1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and include recommendations for ensuring evidence-based sexual health programming.

Legislative Reference Bureau must submit study findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 Regular Session convenes.
