Requests current members of the Northwest Wildland Fire Protection Agreement (established under Public Law 105-377) to amend the agreement to allow Hawaii to join as a member.

Notes that Hawaii's annual wildfire-burned area has increased 300 percent between 1904 and 2022, with approximately 0.50 percent of the state's total land area burning annually, which exceeds the mainland United States average.

Highlights that Hawaii spends less than other states on wildfire prevention and response, budgeting an annual average of $3,200,000 over the past decade.

Recognizes that the Agreement allows members to share information, technology, and resources to prevent, suppress, and control wildland fires beyond individual member capabilities.

Current membership is limited to Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Yukon Territory, British Columbia, and Alberta; membership is otherwise restricted to contiguous states, provinces, or territories.
