Requests the Insurance Commissioner to coordinate and develop a Wildfire Insurance Compact with strategic partner states that have similar wildfire risks or robust disaster management systems

Requests the Insurance Commissioner to propose necessary legislation for funding policies and programs through the Compact using taxes or surcharges on existing taxes

Requires that policies and programs offered by the Compact directly benefit vulnerable populations and communities

References the August 8, 2023 Lahaina wildfires that killed at least 101 people, destroyed over 2,200 buildings, and caused billions in property losses

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Insurance Commissioner
