Urges the Department of Education to incorporate financial literacy courses into curriculum plans for Hawaii public schools

Requests the curriculum include basic budgeting, financial planning, saving, banking and financial services, taxes, mortgages, automobile loans, credit card debt, insurance, and retirement planning

Notes Hawaii received a "D" grade in 2023 for preparing students for financial literacy upon high school graduation

Recognizes that financial literacy education helps youth become responsible workers, investors, entrepreneurs, and citizens

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Superintendent of Education, Board of Education Chairperson, and President of the Hawaii State Teachers Association
