Request Department of Agriculture to create a plan for developing an Invasive Species Placard Program that would require nurseries, farms, and agriculture-related businesses to display placards indicating their invasive pest status

Placard system should clarify the severity of invasive pest infestation and identify specific types of invasive pests present on the premises as determined by the Department of Agriculture

Department must assess the resources needed to implement the placard program and submit the plan, resource assessment, and recommendations (including any proposed legislation) to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 Regular Session convenes

Program aims to reduce public purchase and transport of plants containing invasive pests by providing clear information about invasive pest presence at agricultural businesses

Certified copy of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture
