Urges Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. to restore and reopen the Pali Lanes bowling center in Kailua, which closed permanently in 2021 due to COVID-19 economic impacts.

Notes that Pali Lanes opened in 1961 and was listed on the Hawaii Register of Historic Places in 2018 for its significance in bowling history and mid-century modern architectural design.

States that Pali Lanes was one of only three privately owned post-war bowling centers remaining in Hawaii and the only one serving the Windward side of Oahu prior to closure.

References a 2018 survey of 4,490 Kailua residents showing 56% favored maintaining Pali Lanes, with only 18% expressing opposition.

Requests certified copies of the resolution be sent to Alexander & Baldwin's Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and the State Historic Preservation Division Administrator.
