Urges the Hawaiian Homes Commission to consult beneficiaries regarding alternative waitlist and award prioritization methods for Hawaiian Home Lands in Hana, Maui based on lineal and generational descendancy.

Notes that current practice prioritizes applicants based on application dates rather than family descent or cultural considerations.

Proposes that lineal and generational descendancy-based prioritization may be more culturally appropriate, particularly in rural and remote areas with higher concentrations of such descendants.

Requests the Hawaiian Homes Commission submit a report of findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 Regular Session convenes.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Hawaiian Homes Commission and Chairperson of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
