Congratulates Vice Admiral John Wade for successfully commanding Joint Task Force-Red Hill and overseeing the defueling of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility.

Acknowledges that in November 2021, fuel leaked from Red Hill into one of Oahu's primary aquifers, contaminating the Navy's water distribution system.

Notes the Department of Health issued emergency orders in December 2021 and May 2022 requiring the Navy to cease operations and defuel the underground storage tanks.

Recognizes Vice Admiral Wade's September 2022 appointment by the Secretary of Defense and his collaborative efforts with state officials, federal agencies, Congressional delegation, and community members.

Highlights that under Vice Admiral Wade's leadership, Joint Task Force-Red Hill safely removed over 104 million gallons of fuel six months ahead of the original Defueling Plan schedule.
