Urges the Department of Law Enforcement to develop and implement a U visa certification policy to protect undocumented immigrant victims of crimes who assist law enforcement.

U visas provide nonimmigrant status allowing eligible undocumented immigrants to temporarily remain and work in the United States while assisting in investigations or prosecutions of qualifying crimes.

Requires the Department of Law Enforcement to submit an interim report on U visa certification policy development to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2025 Regular Session.

Requires the Department of Law Enforcement to submit a final report on U visa policy implementation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2026 Regular Session.

Aims to encourage crime reporting by undocumented immigrants, particularly vulnerable populations like trafficking victims, domestic violence victims, and sexual assault victims who fear deportation.
