Department of the Attorney General is requested to conduct a feasibility study for creating a domestic violence registry modeled similarly to the existing sex offender registry.

Study must determine which domestic violence offenses would be included in the registry and evaluate whether to model it after Hawaii Revised Statutes chapter 846E or another system.

Study must examine legal and constitutional obstacles to establishing and maintaining a domestic violence registry.

Study must assess logistics, costs, enforcement mechanisms, utility, and other relevant issues related to implementing a domestic violence registry.

Attorney General must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 Regular Session convenes.
