Appropriates funds for the University of Hawaii Maui college to expand the certified nurse aide to practical nurse bridge program statewide, increasing annual student capacity from ten to thirty students.

Provides funding for instructional costs including clinical and laboratory courses, casual employee wages, and overload pay for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.

Allocates student aid funding to support a minimum of twenty students completing prerequisite courses and to cover all tuition, fees, supplies, and related costs for program participants.

The program partners with Hale Makua, 'Ohana Pacific Health, and Kaiser Permanente Hawaii to enable working certified nurse aides and health care professionals to become licensed practical nurses while employed.
