HI SB1196

Amends Section 26-34 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to clarify that holdover members of boards and commissions may continue in office until a successor is nominated and appointed, but not beyond the end of the second regular legislative session following expiration of their term.

Establishes that the holdover member limitation takes precedence over all conflicting statutes concerning holdover members.

Effective date of June 30, 3000.
