SB 1302 Summary

• Provides appropriations for collective bargaining cost items for bargaining unit (5) members and excluded state officers and employees in the same compensation plans for fiscal biennium 2023-2025.

• Appropriates funds to statewide collective bargaining (BUF 102) and judicial administration (JUD 601) for salary increases and cost adjustments negotiated with the exclusive representative of bargaining unit (5).

• Includes separate appropriations for the Department of Education related to bargaining unit (5) cost items and salary adjustments.

• Authorizes funds for the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation to cover collective bargaining costs and salary adjustments for bargaining unit (5) members assigned to that corporation.

• All funds not expended or encumbered by June 30, 2024, and June 30, 2025, shall lapse; Act takes effect June 30, 3000.
