Repeals Act 4, Special Session Laws of Hawaii 2021, which mandated the Department of Education's weekly reporting on schools with confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Eliminates weekly public reporting requirement citing privacy concerns for students and staff, risk of harassment and social discrimination, and difficulty in accurate case tracking due to prevalence of home testing.

Notes that the Department of Education ended mask requirements on school campuses as of August 1, 2022, following updated public health guidelines.

Maintains other mitigation strategies including hand washing hygiene promotion, staying home when sick, and vaccination promotion.

Takes effect upon approval.
