HI SB1615

Requires the Developmental Disabilities Division of the Department of Health to amend eligibility criteria for the Home and Community-Based Services Medicaid Waiver to include individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability and a comorbid mental illness.

Directs the division to adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91, Hawaii Revised Statutes to implement the eligibility changes.

Requires the department to submit a report on the status of rule adoption to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2024 regular session.

Appropriates funds from general revenues for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 to implement the measure (specific amount to be determined).

Effective date is July 1, 2050.
