Department of Agriculture shall work with each county to implement feral chicken control programs and feeding of feral animals education campaigns.

Each county must provide 100% matching funds for amounts the Department of Agriculture expends on feral chicken control programs and education campaigns within that county.

Legislature finds feral chickens and roosters create nuisances in residential areas by damaging crops, creating noise complaints, posing sanitary and health concerns, threatening native wildlife, and creating road hazards.

Act takes effect July 1, 2024.
