University of Hawaii shall establish and implement a two-year program to generate web-GIS wildfire susceptibility and vulnerability maps for the State.

Maps will identify which communities, landscapes, buildings, and infrastructure are most vulnerable to future wildfires.

University of Hawaii must submit a report of findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2026 regular session.

General fund appropriation provided for fiscal year 2024-2025 for development of wildfire susceptibility and vulnerability maps (specific dollar amount not filled in).

Appropriated funds shall not lapse at end of fiscal biennium; unencumbered moneys lapse as of June 30, 2026.
