HI SB2630

Adds a new section to Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 291C allowing pedestrians to violate traffic code sections 291C-33, 291C-71, 291C-72, 291C-73, and 291C-75 without penalty if a reasonably careful pedestrian would determine the violation would not result in a collision or cause a vehicle to slow or stop.

Prohibits law enforcement from stopping, fining, or penalizing pedestrians for these traffic violations under the specified safety conditions.

Maintains pedestrians' duty to exercise due care for their own safety and the safety of others despite the new allowance.

Maintains drivers' duty to exercise due care for pedestrian safety within roadways.

Takes effect July 1, 3000.
