The Department of Accounting and General Services shall conduct a study on overall energy consumption and associated costs for all facilities it manages, leases, or maintains.

The study must assess current and future energy needs, identify short-term and long-term energy costs, and recommend measures to reduce costs and improve energy efficiency.

The department must submit a report with its findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 regular session convenes.

The act takes effect upon approval.
