Appropriates $1,000,000 from general revenues for fiscal year 2024-2025 to the Department of Transportation for coordinated removal of albizia and other invasive trees threatening public roadways and utility infrastructure rights of way.

Requires matching funds from public utilities as a condition for the state funds to be made available.

Identifies albizia trees as an invasive species that poses threats to public safety, property, utility infrastructure, and native plant health, particularly during severe weather events and natural disasters.

Appropriated funds do not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium, but any unencumbered funds shall lapse as of June 30, 2026.

Takes effect on July 1, 2024.
