Clarifies the definition of "profits from prostitution" to include money or property received regardless of whether it exceeds expenditures or constitutes reimbursement or debt repayment.

Adds definitions of "advances prostitution" and "profits from prostitution" directly into Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 712-1202 (sex trafficking) and 712-1203 (promoting prostitution).

Modifies sex trafficking statute to specify that persons who profit from prostitution involving force, threat, fraud, coercion, or intimidation can be prosecuted, clarifying language following State v. Ibarra court decision.

Adds exclusion protecting individuals whose conduct consists solely of their own acts of prostitution or commercial sexual exploitation.

Repeals section 712-1201 (definitions section) as definitions are now incorporated directly into the substantive offense statutes.
